The Hazardous Waste Facility is located at the Knott Landfill Recycling and Transfer Facility and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Friday and Saturday of each month. The drop off dates for March are Friday, March 14, Saturday, March 15, Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29.

Document Shredding
When stopping by Deschutes Recycling, remember
to bring those outdated records for shredding! Documents will
be safely stored in a locked container and shredded by our SecureShred truck. SecureShred
provides complete on-site document destruction and is locally owned serving Central
Oregon since 1995.
No
advance document sorting is necessary. Or if you’d like, you can schedule the
SecureShred truck to come to your place of business or home.
We
provide one time or regular scheduled shred services. As a professional member
of the National Association for Information Destruction, documents are
destroyed to a size that meets national standards.

Christmas Tree Recycling
Boy Scouts troops will be collecting Christmas trees for recycling in your community on the weekends of December 28 & 29, 2013 and January 4 & 5, 2014.
Individual Troops will post door flyers specifying
which days they will be picking up trees in your neighborhood. If you do not receive a flyer, please call
and leave a message using the phone numbers below.

A tax-deductible donation of $5.00 is greatly appreciated. Make your check payable to “Boy Scouts of America.” Place the donation in a plastic bag and securely attach it to your tree with a rubber band. Proceeds go directly to scouts and support their programs.
