The annual appliance recycling event held by Deschutes County Solid Waste is scheduled for:
When: Saturday, August 16, 2014, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Knott Landfill - 61050 SE 27th Street, Bend
Acceptable appliances include: air conditioners, dishwashers, dryers, furnaces, freezers*, heat pumps, ovens, refrigerators*, stoves, trash compactors*, washers and water heaters.
* Items noted with an asterisk will not be accepted if they contain food or food residue.

Household items accepted will include: rechargeable batteries, fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, fluorescent light bulbs/tubes, cleaning products & poisons, fuels & thinners, aerosols, oil filters & antifreeze, automotive chemicals, pool & spa chemicals, mercury items, paint & stain.
Items NOT accepted: business generated hazardous waste, explosives, fireworks, ammunition, gas cylinders, radioactive and bio-hazardous waste.

River's Edge Golf Course. Two person scramble - 18 holes. The entry fee is $99 per person which includes golf on Saturday with range balls and cart, Rick's rub BBQ lunch, prizes, team tournament picture, hole in one prizes, raffle prizes.
