Free Yard Debris Recycling


Residents can recycle their yard debris for free at Knott Landfill during the FireFree event going on Friday, May 4 – Saturday, May 12, closed Sunday.   

Knott Landfill is located at 61050 SE 27th Street, Bend.

Yard debris must be clean; no rocks, dirt, garbage or plastic bags. For more information on FireFree and additional locations for free yard debris recycling, visit www.firefree.org.

Deschutes Recycling and Knott Landfill are open                        Monday – Saturday (closed Sundays)    7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Organics Booth Now Open

The Organics Booth at Deschutes Recycling is now open for the season.

Get some compost for your lawn and garden projects. We offer delivery or self-haul.

Deschutes Recycling offers locally produced compost products that will fit your needs. Our newest product is ReGrow compost which contains 50% food based compost, which enhances most nutrients, especially nitrogen.

Deschutes Recycling is open Monday - Saturday 7:00 am - 4:30 pm (Closed Sundays & Holidays).

Earth Day Celebration

Join Deschutes Recycling at this years Earth Day Fair and Procession of the Species put on by the Environmental Center. The event will be held on Saturday April 21, 2012 from 11:00am - 3:00pm on Kansas Avenue in Bend, in front of the Environmental Center.

The event will feature interactive displays, art, live music and great hands-on activities for all ages. The event kicks off with the Procession of the Species parade with children and adults costumed as their favorite species. For more information, visit www.envirocenter.org.
