Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 10am - 12pm, Customers are invited to come down to Newport Avenue Market in Bend and bring their own 5 gallon bucket to fill with Deschutes Recycling's ReGrow compost for Free, (while supplies last).
ReGrow compost is a nutrient rich product made from locally recycled yard trimmings, recycled food and vegetable trimmings.
Deschutes
Recycling receives and processes approximately 10 tons of compostable food
material each week from local commercial businesses within the Bend & Redmond city limits, including Newport Avenue Market.
Soils amended with ReGrow Compost will
provide the benefits of water retention and nutrients, requiring less water and
fertilizer, and enabling plants and blooms to grow larger and faster and resist
disease.
One cubic yard ReGrow Compost bags will
also be available for purchase at Newport Avenue Market.
