Deschutes Recycling and Knott Landfill will be closed on Monday, September 5, 2011 in observance of Labor Day. These facilities are also closed Sundays.
The facilities will re-open on Tuesday, September 6 at 7:00 a.m.

The annual appliance recycling event held by Deschutes County Solid waste is scheduled for:

air conditioners, dishwashers, dryers, furnaces, freezers*, heat pumps, ovens, refrigerators*, stoves, trash compactors*, washers and water heaters.
*Items noted with an asterisk will not be accepted if they contain food or food residue.
